Very strong and sturdy, have been knocked off a few times and haven't bent or dented at all. The only caveat is that when they're not the exact width of the door, they tend to sit at a slight angle when you have the weight of something on them, which can prevent you closing the door. I'm very disappointed as I've measured our doors and that's why I was looking exactly for a width of 4cm. It's a shame as I have checked so many stores already and ARGOS too and had a thought that these hooks will fit as website description clearly says "4cm", but the item o not match either a description or a picture with the measures. I have had to return the hooks. Such a hassle.
