Review: Better than I imagined! - Wow.... These things are just beautiful! I was thrilled from the moment I opened up the box! The way they packaged them was perfect for the shipping process and they all arrived in one piece. I got them for my birthday, and I have NOT been able to stop obsessing over them! I have been using them for worship, and it's a little different than how they're traditionally used, as I tend to play them more as instruments, but singing along with these to give glory to Jesus has just been something I didn't realize I was missing in my life... the way my body has to ebb and flow to keep the bowls singing, and the rhythm and vibrations are just so soothing and relaxing I can't even describe it. These bowls are bringing me great joy and peace, and I love them and am grateful to the Lord for them! That being said, I admire the quality of them greatly. The case is perfect for carrying them safely, and I would honestly feel comfortable traveling with them often. It barely took me long to get the hang of it, but I can unpack and set them up or pack them away in like, 5 minutes. Easy peasy! The price is totally fair, as similar sets cost $799, and ones without a traveling case cost $1599+. I got the black ones, and they really are striking... The sound quality is great! I used a tuner app and when I set the A at 432hz, they are all PERFECT and right within the margin of perfect frequency. I'm more than content. 😌 I will mention, however, that I ordered an additional wand and mallet set, because the hollow wand started to peel off shortly after using them... I fixed it with super glue, but I find that the new wands just feel better. I am very pleased with my purchase, and I know that as long as I take good care of them they will last me a long time... I have big plans for them, and so I really don't see any downside to purchasing these, especially if you're a beginner like me. These are a musicians dream.... I somehow feel complete now. I recommend these to anyone who is trying to get into singing bowls. I don't think you'll be disappointed, so go ahead! Buy them! Their sound is brilliant, pure and resonant. Mallet and strikers allow you to play with the volume of resonance, adding soft harmonic tones from other bowls while playing one bowl consistently. Moving the striker around the rim of one bowl, then moving to another in a figure eight so that the resonance overlaps also creates lovely harmonics. The set is easy to travel with too! The two cases are sturdy and easy to travel with; easy to pack the bowls into, keeping them safe from damage. All was impeccably packed for the shipment. The heavy-duty carrying case protected the singing bowl when it came, and the bowl itself was well packaged. I was amazed with how durable and protected the case is, which makes it simple to transfer the bowl without having to worry about it being damaged. The quality of the workmanship was immediately apparent to me as soon as I removed it from its packaging. Glass that has been frosted has a smooth surface, and the bowl as a whole has an appearance that is sophisticated and polished. It is capable of being steady on a variety of surfaces without sliding since it has a wonderful weight to it. The sound quality of this singing bowl is the defining characteristic that makes it stand out. A deep, resonant tone emanated from the bowl whenever I used the suede striker that was included with it. This tone vibrated over the whole of my area. For the reason that this bowl is especially tuned for the throat chakra, I was able to feel the vibrations in the region of my throat, which was precisely what I had hoped for. Over the course of my meditation sessions, I have found that this has been of great assistance to me in opening up and bringing my communication center into balance. The music is unmistakable, consistent, and lingers pleasantly in the air, producing a tranquil environment that enables me to completely relax and concentrate on the job that I am doing on the inside.
