My first impression upon receiving the order was that the globes were a bit bulky, cheap-looking and intrusive. I had no choice but to try, though, so I did my best to carve a whole in the pot and stick the device in without stabbing the plant's roots, not really knowing what I was doing. To my surprise, I found the fern in better shape when I returned home. The soil had remained humid without excessive moisture and, what do you know, there was even a new sprout!
