It doesn't work as a swimming block. **Q: Do you apply this product before or after sun lotion?** A: It is very greasy and stays on well but it would be difficult to apply suntan lotion afterwards so I expect you would need to apply it beforehand. **Q: Would you put this on before or after suncream?** A: Before I would say but I only used this for his swimming lessons **Q: When is it supposed to be applied, before or after swimming?** A: It acts as a block to protect the skin . One applies it before swimming, But I have also used it where skin needs a little TLC, feet elbows etc. It is a barrier cream.
