Review: Perfect measuring cup! - I use these for my aquariums. They are just the right size for holding fish, or bags, or any number of uses while maintaining fish tanks. I love that they are plastic so they aren’t too heavy when full of water, and the handle is comfortable for pouring. A+
Review: Nice, microwaveable 1.5 cup measuring cup - I like that this is thick like glass even though it is plastic and I like that it is useable in the microwave and has the cool-to-the-touch handle. One of the uses I have for it is to microwave milk and then use a beater to make foamy milk for use in coffee - it works perfectly for that. It is not infinitely sturdy however. I accidentally knocked it out of a cabinet onto the counter and floor below and did manage to crack it. However, since I like the product and felt that this damage was my fault, I simply ordered a replacement. So far so good with the second one! Now, if they could only get the 2.5 cup version in stock, I think I'd order that as well (but that seems out of stock everywhere!).

**Q: is this BPA free?**

**Q: Do the measure "markings" wash off?**
A: We don't have a dishwasher, so not sure about that scenario, but we've been hand washing it and nothing has come off in a year!

**Q: Has anyone measured boiling water with this?  Do you think it would crack? NOT from the microwave**
A: I've owned 2 or three of these over 10-15 years; I use it as the boiling-water receptacle for my Hot Shot (the old "original" design, not the newer one) water boiler for coffee & tea, which my preferred Tervis mug is just too tall to fit under. It works fine BUT after 3-4 years of using it 2-3 times a day, it does develop cracks at the base that eventually begin to seep (but not gush!) water. I don't microwave it, so it's just that repeated exposure to boiling water that eventually causes me to have to replace it. I'm getting ready to order two more now, so I have a spare on hand. My assorted Pyrex measuring cups are too "fat" to fit nicely under the dispenser like this ones does. Hope this helps!

**Q: Is it microwaveable?**
A: When they give you 3 places it is recommended for (refrigerator, freezer, dishwaster) they are trying to avoid saying   "NOT MICROWAVEABLE"   Well, that's how I interpret it and I removed the label before I used it so I could wash it first, but I'm pretty sure that microwave is not a good idea.   There are several times having a 2 1/2 cup measuring cup is a big help and saves a little time, so of course I had to own it.   Leave in your cart awhile and see if price comes down...
