I noticed one reviewer said the plug don't stay in the back and falls out and this is because they are not pushed in far enough especially the car adapter end.This is really a super little fridge and it works on a Peltier element and power supply built in which alone (just for the element and fan and power supply would be £40 to do it yourself.I wasn't bothered what the outside looked like as I can take out the element and power supply and fit it into a cooler box which are much bigger than this but I will not do that as I am happy with this.I was going to buy the Peltier Chip and power supply and build my own but then I saw this for £29.99 so I snapped one up and worth every penny just for the peltier chip and power supply.I can get 5 cans of coke in this 4 upright on the shelf and 1 vertical on the bottom shelf. I only needed it for that and for my bedroom and is perfect and works perfect and keeps my diet coke really truly cold. If you take out the shelf and the little door compartment thingy then you can get 6 x 330ml cans in there laying down.These peltier fridge units can also keep things warm and all the switch will do when switched to hot will reverse the polarity on the Peltier chip.One side of the chip gets hot (rather like the fins on the back of a fridge) and the other side will freeze and the fan will just blow the air around the unit to keep it cool. Turn the polarity the opposite way (by switching to hot) and the side that got cold now gets hot and the fans will blow the hot air around the unit to keep it hot.So why on this earth are people complaining and giving this wonderful little fridge 1 stars I just don't know.I have tried it in my car too and works perfectly and is a god send this weather if you have to drive far. You can strap it to the back seat and plug into the cigar lighter socket and have 5 cold cans of 330ml ready and cold.Don't listen the the bad reviews as this is a wonderful little fridge for the price and as I say "you cannot buy the Peltier unit and power pack for this price.By the way, they are quiet and the fan is made to be on all the time because without the fan the unit will not stay cold.You will soon get used to the sound of the fan but a very quiet fan.Inside these units are the same as what is inside a dehumidifier. The Peltier chip gets cold and draws the moisture causing condensation then the fan cools it and it drips down the cooling fins into the dehumidifier tank. Same in the mini fridges they all work the same.So leave it running and do not turn off unless it is empty of course. Make sure the plug is in tight on the back of the unit and trust me it will not fall out.If you have drinks in there or food then do not turn off as they do warm up quick without the insulation of the normal gas filled fridges.These things rely on the fan to blow the air around the unit to keep it cool/hot whatever.I see someone said it doesn't keep it cool when it is switched off? Goodness knows what he meant by that. It is like saying your electric oven don't stay hot when I turn it off. Maybe he thinks they are magic and stays cold forever without being turned on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by R***L on 7 December 2023* Bought this for my son last year still works and looks brand new , great quality mini fridge. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mini Fridge lives up to it’s MINI name. *by T***S on 2 June 2020* After seeing a few skincare fridges on Instagram and YouTube praising the longevity and reduced puffiness that comes from keeping your skincare refrigerated, I decided to order one for my face creams, sheet masks, jade roller and serums so I don’t have to traipse down and up three flights of stairs each time I want to use a product. I checked the measurements against a shelf of an IKEA Kallax unit, as I thought it would be best tucked away with plenty of airflow around the top, sides and back.It’s much smaller than I expected.. Two jars of 50ml face cream sitting side by side completely take up the bottom shelf and the top is quite short, barely fitting a Body Shop Anti-Blemish bottle.I think to make it work for my needs, I’ll have to remove the shelf which is a shame as I like to keep things organised, but I can’t see a way around the diminutive size other than decanting products into smaller bottles which sort of defeats the purpose of having a mini fridge in my room.On the positive side, the shipping was extremely fast to London; I placed the order on Saturday and received it on Tuesday 02/06/2020 when it initially said that it would arrive on 11/06/2020.After reading some reviews complaining about the noise, I have it tucked away on the other side of the room and barely hear it. If anything there is a slight hum, like background white noise.The back of the fridge does put out some heat, so be sure to follow the instructions and keep it in a well ventilated area to decrease the risk of a fire starting.I’ve not used the heating function just yet and it’s still cooling down so I can’t give a review on the temperature it reaches.In all honesty, it’s pricey for what it is and if I hadn’t already put the box in the recycling bin, I’d consider returning it and upgrading to a 10L capacity.
