It's silky smooth and water based, so it washes off easily. I do not have to apply more than one time, because it works so well. I usually apply about the size of a dime. Honestly, I've grown accustomed to lubricant being a sticky mess after all the fun is over. That is not the case with Shibari, as it does not leave a sticky residue. It is VERY smooth and feels great overall. I think it is better than Astroglide, my former #1 in pretty much all ways. If you're on the fence about trying something, give this a chance. It's a great lubricant that won't let you down. Both me and my SO are very happy that we chose this.
