Swaddles a baby tight enough that they feel secure and don't startle awake, but the material is stretchy so that they have some room to move inside and you don't feel that their limbs are restricted too much. Fastens easily with a zip and a popper at the top and also unzips from the bottom for middle of the night nappy changes. Don't know how we would have got through the first 6 months without them. This is a larger size and my big 6 month old still sleeps comfortably in it every night. We stopped swaddling my oldest child when he started to fight against the swaddle and he slept in a sleeping bag from that point with no problems.
