I would still get it professionally inspected after you install. **Q: Do i need an adapter to connect the baby jogger city go car seat into the baby jogger city elite (single) stroller?** A: Yes you do. Make sure to check on Baby Jogger website. There is a PDF that shows compatibility of stroller type to car seat with the right order number **Q: Does it come with the base too?** A: Yes **Q: Can the padding be taken off for a toddler?** A: I haven't yet tried to take anything off, but I believe the padding for the body can be removed. What you see in the picture that looks like padding for the head never comes off but it should accommodate a child up to the appropriate weight and height. The head part is what you can raise (along with the safety belt) as the child grows.
