We uncovered it for the start of this, what would be the third summer, and the bubbles disintegrated leaving scale like floaters in the pool. Keep in mind this was removed from the pool for winter, rolled on a reel, and kept covered. I'm not sure if it would be better to leave it in the pool with the winter cover over it or not. With that said, it did heat the pool up nicely in Oregon weather. We have a short season here so any help we can get is nice. It isn't a miracle heater, but I'd say it heated it up at least 5 degrees, maybe 10 degrees on a bright sunny day.
