That should have put me in the stratosphere of genius when it comes to the issues covered in this book. Um, no. Cathy Sikorski, (by the way, whose blog, You Just Have to Laugh, I absolutely love), is the true genius. I don't know how she does it, but she manages to simplify very complicated stuff like Social Security, Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid ... and how to grow some patience when you've had it up to your eyeballs with caregiving and all that goes with it. She's an elder law attorney and has been a card-carrying caregiver for 25+ years, but she hasn't lost her sense of humor. In fact, she's probably developed a better one because she stops to laugh at all the ridiculousness that she regularly encounters. I bought her book because I was interested in how she would present all the knowledge she's crammed into her pretty head over the years. Yowza!
