I was really happy with the overall cut, though, because most French coats and car coats are huge through the midsection, and I can usually grab at least 8-10 inches of extra fabric, and I still have room. Also, this is not an extremely long coat. It hit me a few inches below the hip. It should fit over any suit or sports coat, but if you wear something a bit longer, you might have an issue. My dad owned a pair of clothing stores, when I was a kid, and the coat is generally well made.
