I complained to the customer service, which was extremely helpful and immediately offered to send a replacement. The new bags, which arrived shortly afterwards, were in all identical to the previous ones. Some would seal perfectly, some not. However, having now two sets instead of one, I was able to find enough "functioning" bags to store my items.Here are a couple of tips based on my experience:- Don't try to close the bags with the plastic "zipper": they almost always fail. It is much more effective, although more time consuming, to seal the bags by pressing with your fingers. Even so, some of the bags might not work properly.- If the items you need to store are much smaller than the bag, try to position them in the middle of the bag (just below the valve) rather than on the bottom. If there is nothing below the valve, if fact, the vacuum fails to "suck" air from the items you are storing.Overall, my opinions are mixed. I am very satisfied by the size of the bags, as you can fit a king size duvet or 3-4 pillows, and the price is also very good. However, the fact that some of the bags do not seal properly remains a major issue as it defeats the purpose of vacuum storage. On the other hand, the customer service is really helpful and willing to solve issues with faulty bags. Chances are that you will eventually have enough functioning bags to store all your items.The bags are very large and suited to store items such as duvets or pillows. However, we found that the zips do not work always well. Of the three bags we used so far, only one remained perfectly sealed. As for the remaining two, air went back in, and within a couple of days the items in the bag were back to almost normal size. I'll try to reseal the bags and vacuum the air out again, but so far I am definitely not satisfied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, quality. *by G***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 8 June 2015* These bags are the bees Knees.I wanted to reduce a payload of clothing and other material possessions for storage.The bags are very strong and I'm certain than unless a sharp edged object is applied, they will not deteriorate.They are very, very large and simple to use.Simply fill the bag with clothes or other air ridden articles until full. Use the special zipper, clipper tool, to seal the bag.Unscrew the inlet cap, ensuring the orange one way valve is present and apply suction.Try to ensure the underside of the inlet valve is resting on clothing as this will ensure the skin of the bag is not sucked onto the outlet valve.Keep sucking until the bag stops compressing.Screw the cap for the inlet valve into place and job done.It really is amazing how much it reduces the overall size. You end up with a rock hard, large board of clothing.I would definitely buy these again.They also come with a no quibble refund option. Although why, if used correctly, that should be necessary, and I'm unsure.In the photo my bag has been folded in half before sealing. The flap simply sits alongside the bag and is simpler for storage.I wrote the above piece 3 years ago. During that time my airbags have been filled, evacuated and left in my mates loft. 3 years later and they’re still puckered up like Dot Cotton. No air has escaped during that time.
