Thanks! **Q: I am 5'2, could I stand vs kneel? Looking for something to train for mogul skiing (zipper line.) Legs compressing up and down.** A: This unit is made to strengthen your arms and shoulders. You kneel on the pad to counter balance the weight so it's tailored to your arm strength. So no, it can't be used to stand on, the pad wouldn't even adjust that far. **Q: can you easily remove any of the weights after the machine is put together?** A: It is a stack of weights. You can use 1 or if you are heavy you can use 20 simply by inserting the pin that fits right under each weight. **Q: Is there an instruction manual for this machine?** A: I don't recall a manual. Basically the machine just does 3 things...1) Pull ups with counter balance weight resting on your knees.....2) Leg raises where you pull the pins and drop the pad so it's not in your way.....and 3) Dips with the counter balance weight resting on your knees. Textbook training would tell you if you want to build strength to set the weight where you can do only 10 reps at a time (10th one exhausting you). Doing chin-ups if you have long arms the unit will not allow you to straighten them.. the shorter your arms the better ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Built For Life *by D***D on April 21, 2012* I was looking for a good quality "Leg Raise" station and found a goldmine in the Body Solid Weight-Assist Knee Raise Gym. The metal is think, heavy, and beautifully painted. The welds are strong and the gym is sturdy. This is truely "commercial" quality. As I get older I've found most injuries come from those exercises where I can't adjust weight such as pull-ups or dips. This machine allows you to counter-balance as much, or as little, of your body weight so you can do both of these exercises safely and securely....as well as leg raises! This is a great supplemental gym if you already have a gym with a bench and leg station. Body Solid quality is the best on the market that I've found. My only complaint is the directions are a nightmare. They print them as "one set suits all" depending on which gym options you purchase and chain together. You'll end up with extra parts, directions that show assembly of things you don't have, etc. Be ready to do a little trial and error until you figure out what you need and don't need. ### ⭐⭐ Limited on pull up function and eccentric phase. *by C***E on January 9, 2013* I have several pieces of Body Solid equipment in my studio and this is the first one that I am dissatisfied with. When you do find the weight level needed for a person to do a pull up there is vertually no eccentric (down phase) work being down. Also, if your height doesn't fall within a certain range the range of motion on the pull is either too short or too long. I as a fitness professional can see a manufactured fix with it. The chrome piece that the moving mechanism is on needs to be taller and have the lower chrome side pegs removed that stop it from going all the way down.
