This is near perfect. The grip is nice and soft (but for small hands perhaps a bit too padded). The length is good, it gives my Patterdale a bit of freedom with me keeping control. The carabiner is easy to hook up and lock. I only wish there was a strand of reflective material in it (I know there are the hi-vis ones but they are a bit too much for me).
