I've also read the Riftan POV book that is available online, which I love even more than the original book, because it adds so much context and also a bit of grittiness. I could imagine men enjoying reading that one too, which leads to my next point. In a lot of smutty books male characters are written through the female gaze, whereas in this book Riftan and a lot of the male characters, including the other knights come across authentic which adds to the humour and clumsiness between male and female interaction.
