(The waxed fabric just takes time). I love the design, the number of pockets, the padded computer section inside and especially the additional padding on the straps for comfort.I plan on doing a great deal of traveling next year and this seems like it will be perfect for that.I would give it a five star rating, except that I think it is mislabeled saying it’s waterproof, I would say they’re better off saying it is water resistant. I’d suggest taking the extra step to spray it with a Scotchguard fabric protector. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used for two semesters with no real complaints! *by J***F on Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2018* I use a laptop and iPad Pro to take notes on every day, so I don't really over load my backpack with text books. There is a padded pouch for a laptop. I've used this for over night trips and it's about a "one night" bag as opposed to a weekend bag. The pouches on the side are useful and the magnets are fairly strong, but I don't put anything in them I would care about loosing since they're pretty easy to get into (if someone wanted to steal from you). The ONLY slight complaint I have over two semesters of daily use is that the front pouch zipper is slightly gritty and sticky, so I just leave it unzipped most of the time and it holds my chapstick and tissues just fine. (It could also be remedied by oiling the zipper, but I always forget about it until I got to zip it up!) I searched for a long time to find the right bag for me and this hit the mark in every way. I recently switched from a Swiss army bag (actually the last two backpacks over 8 years have been swiss). This bag is superior in every way - it's stylish, it suits my purposes, it's comfortable. Although I would say that there is less versatility in pocket size and use than the swiss bag, I barely used all those pockets anyways. What you get for this bag is the essential utility of a backpack (small odds-ends pocket, cup pockets, laptop sleeve, main compartment) plus the sturdiness and good looks of leather on canvas.PROS:1. It's sturdy as all get-out. The leather is high quality, and the construction is great. The zippers are durable and robust. You can tell it's been treated to be water resistant (I wouldn't want to be out in the rain for too long, but I wouldn't be worried about my items inside getting wet). I will certainly be using this for hiking as well as on campus.2. The size is perfect. I can fit my laptop, a large binder, and several books in the bag. I am a graduate student in three classes this semester - I am able to fit everything I need for all three classes comfortably in the bag. In addition to my books, I am able to fit a 750ml water bottle and a travel-coffee mug in the side pockets. For odds and ends, there is a little pouch to place all the small and loose stuff.3. Speaking of comfortable... The bag feels really nice on my shoulders. The little bit of memory foam in the straps makes a real difference.4. The customer service of this seller is top notch.CONS:1. This is NOT a zip-up bag. It takes a slight bit more effort to get the straps pulled and magnetized. If you want the ease of a zipper, this is not the bag for you... However, what you get instead of the zipper is a super sleek, totally cool leather accented bag.
