Review: Excellent germination rates! - Great seeds with high germination rate, unfortunately that’s the only review I can give because the deer and rabbits ate everything down to the dirt once they started to sprout but I was very impressed at the initial germination and will purchase again this spring along with rabbit and deer repellent!
Review: The best $10 I've spent on seeds...made a lot of people happy! - I'm an experienced gardener, but had only grown standard-variety Jack-O-Lantern style pumpkins in the past. Wanted to try growing different varieties; this seed mix seemed like a good bet. I'm lucky to live on fertile soil in north central Kansas. Planted about 20 hills (3-4 seeds per hill) directly in the ground on May 22, with a scant handful of balanced fertilizer pellets at the bottom of each hill. Great germination within one week. One month later all the plants were happily growing, each about 2-3 feet in diameter. Another month later I had a freaking Pumpkin Jungle! I knew the plants would cover lots of ground, but holy cow! Then the fun part, seeing which mystery pumpkins would appear. Sure enough, there were at least 10 different varieties. I got at least 3-4 pumpkins off each plant, many more off the Baby Boo plants. Took a big load of mini, 1-2 pounders, and lovely 20-pound Cinderella, Blue Jarrahdale, and a few others to my mom's retirement home, gave the smaller ones away free to residents and employees. Everyone was happy! You can't beat that for a $10 seed investment and a little work. Really, besides planting, I didn't have to do much except visit the patch and pat the pumpkins here and there to tell 'em they were pretty. I was lucky no squash bugs attacked, and only a few vine borers, which I treated for and mostly conquered.

## Features

- Contents: This mixture of seeds includes more than 7 varieties of Pumpkins. A blend of Jack O' Lantern, Blue Jarrahdale, Atlantic Giant, Fairytale, Small Sugar, Jack Be Little, Cumshaw Green Striped, Connecticut Fields, Cinderella, Howden & more!
- Harvest: The different varieties of pumpkins grown from this seed mixture will be ready for harvesting from 90 days to 125 days. Placing straw underneath the fruits as they mature can prevent rot.
- Note: Take note that larger seeds grow larger varieties of Pumpkins and smaller grow medium to miniature sized pumpkins. Smaller seeds produce shorter harvesting dates and vice versa.
- Quality: All seeds packaged by Seed Needs are intended for the current and the following growing seasons. All seeds are stored in a temperature controlled facility that is free of significant amounts of moisture.
- Quantity: Seed Needs offers generous quantities. You can share with friends and family, or you can save the extra seeds until the following season, if properly stored.
- Pouches: Each seed pouch displays an artful illustration of the variety to be grown, as well as detailed seed sowing information on the reverse side. They measure 5" wide by 7" tall with a resealable zipper.
- Promise: Seed Needs will never knowingly supply GMO based seed products. The vast majority of our seeds are open pollinated & heirloom, with the exception of a few hybrids.
- Germination: Seed Needs packets contain some of the freshest seed available. Direct from the growers. If sown correctly, you will begin seeing results in only a matter of days.
- Freshness: All seeds are packaged in tear resistant and moisture resistant packaging. This keeps the seeds a whole lot fresher than the competitions selection!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many seeds do you get?**
A: The package of Spooky Pumpkin seeds has several varieties and at least 6-10 per variety. I've never counted them and I bought them about three years ago. However, they turn into great pumpkins and are definitely worth buying.

**Q: When is the latest I can plant seeds? It’s July now, too late?**
A: About 90 to 120 days from seed to ripe pumpkin.. so yes you could plant them right now and have pumpkins by Halloween.

**Q: could i get a full list of the variety?**
A: Seeds are not separately labeled.

**Q: How do would I know what seeds are what?**
A: As with sunflower seeds- smaller seeds are typically smaller pumpkins. You can’t tell species without a Google image match or experience.

*by A***S on July 27, 2025*

I don't know about you, but I have purchased some duds when it comes to seed packets! I was pleasantly surprised! After just a few days here in the Arizona heat and sun, we had some hearty sprouts. They are thriving vines now, and we are so thankful for our ppurchased. Will absolutely purchase again next year!
