I haven't found that to be the case and they supplied a special screw driver to tighten the hinges should it become necessary. Once you figure out the packing strategy, it fits well in the Mini 4 Pro bag with everything that comes in the combo package (drone, batteris, charger bank, cables, propellers, etc.). The only issue for some may be that if you want to mount the controller on a handlebar, most adapters for this want to occupy the same space on the bottom of the controller so if you want to do this, you will most likely need to remove this cover. The protective sun hood installs easily, works great and it still fits inside the Mini 5 Pro case with the protective Sun hood and strap installed. I’m 6’4” tall and the strap had to be extended all the way out for my comfort, but it would’ve been nice if it were a few inches longer. I haven’t installed the screen protector yet, but the rest of the kit looks very nice and I’m happy with my purchase. 10/6/25 Update I bought the Lykus Titan MM510 Waterproof Hard Case for the DJI Mini 5 Pro and RC 2. The RC 2 fits inside this hard case with the Arzroic RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit installed.
