The instructions that came with the laces were clear and they even give you a bonus lace in case you mess up cutting the length. I got the length right on my first try. My kiddo has worn the shoes these laces are installed on a few times now, and I am a little disappointed in how easily they come undone. For example, this morning he was climbing around inside the car and the buckle came undone.
