## Overview

OxideOff’s L'Oxide Reducing Emulsion is a 2 oz DIY solution designed to restore faded, oxidized, and sun-damaged car paint, peeling clear coats, and dull headlights without polishing. It reacts chemically to remove oxidation, rejuvenates exterior surfaces, and offers a cost-effective alternative to repainting. While results are impressive and easy to achieve, periodic reapplication is needed, especially in harsh sun conditions.

## Description

LOxide is an OxideOff emulsion that will react with and remove oxidation on car paints and clear coats, and applying the emulsion is an easy Do It Yourself operation. The emulsion will restore faded paint, rejuvenate peeling clear coat and areas of heavy oxidation, will remove minor scratches like key marks and will restore the shine to exterior trim and plastics. While the finish will not be as glossy as new paint , restoring existing paint and removing the oxidation is an easy DIY operation at a fraction of the cost of new paint.

Review: I have to say that I was amazed. This product does exactly what it says it ... - Primo, I have a 2004 X3 which had substantial clear coat flaking on the hood and top. I wondered if there was some wonder elixir that would solve my problems. I watched several online videos about this to-good-to-be-true product so I figured I'd give it a shot. I have to say that I was amazed. This product does exactly what it says it will do. It made my BMW quite presentable. From a distance, you couldn't tell there were any issues with the paint. Don't think that this will bring your paint back to 'as new' condition. It won't. As you'll see in my photos and video, it does a remarkable job. Another amazing thing about L'Oxide is how far the little bottle goes. I put 2 full coats on my roof and 3 on my hood, with still a little left in the bottle. The images show before/after shots of my roof and the video shows the improvement 2 coats can make. (Note how I've sanded the clear coat flush) Important: You need to wet sand the clear coat down to the point that you can't feel any 'edges' where the clear coat meets the paint. Use at least 1500 grit wet sandpaper. Any raised edges will still show a little after the application. The one down side is that mine wore off in about 3 months. The clear coat edges peeled a bit so it needed some light sanding before the next application. But for an instant huge improvement for your weathered, paint and peeling clear coat, I would highly recommend L'Oxide. Update after 6 mos: When initially applied I was very happy with the way this product took my peeling clear coat from a 2 to an 8. (Again, check out my video and you'll see the remarkable difference right off the bat) However, 3 months later, it started wear off and the clear coat began to peel. Which meant reapplying. Reapplying the product was easy but I had to sand down all of the flaky white edges that reappeared. But realize that backk 3 mos ago my paint was so bad, I had been close to junking it. So I'd stick with the product but just realize that it's magic needs to be attended to much more regularly than a regular car wax does. And keep in mind that I live in Phoenix where the sun can be quite brutal. I hope this helped.
Review: Nothing! - I was on the fence about purchasing this, but finally conceded. Unfortunately, I didn't reap the positive outcome like others. This did absolutely nothing for my car. I wasn't expecting the world, but the result was such a big nothing. I felt like I invested in an ice cream farm in the Sarah Desert.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I spray a clear coat of paint over the oxide off? Would it help prolong the life and keep its shine?**
A: We have not attempted to apply clear coat on top of the emulsion, so we cannot really answer your question. But you need to bear in mind, that if you want apply another coat of emulsion in say, 6 to 12 months time, any clear coat, polish or waxes that have been applied on the car MUST be removed before the application.

**Q: Can the treatment last longer if sealed with sealant wax?**
A: Our customers are recommending a second coat of emulsion rather than waxing (easier to do and result is about the same as a wax application) plus you need to bear in mind that if you want apply another coat of emulsion in say, 6 to 12 months time, any wax on the car MUST be removed before the application.
OxideOff Team

**Q: Do I apply this only the oxidized paint areas? Or the oxidized areas and the surrounding paint, which is ok?**
A: yes, can be done is not affecting the surrounding area

**Q: How long does it last once its applied?**
A: About as long as a good wax application

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ size of bottle it needs to be clearly listed i could have gotten a whole pint for 60 dollars.
*by A***R on November 13, 2025*

while i haven't used it yet and i really don't care about the car i am working on i was surprised to see this is like a 2 oz bottle, it's so small compared to the picture. i looked at the description again and unless i am missing it i see nowhere that it's listed for 31 dollars for a 2 oz bottle. if i had known it was so little i would have purchased somewhere else. i'll be back with another reveiw after i use it. /ok so now i have used the product. it does work as described and i was surprised to find out it was enough to fix the little damage to my car that i needed to fix. I would recommend this product.
