This time I thought I would buy a 12" inch mattress; I wasn't really sure I would feel the difference with buying a thicker mattress to be honest - but I couldn't have been more wrong! The quality of this mattress is evident as soon as it is unwrapped, the cotton cover is well stitched and thick, protecting the the memory foam underneath. Yes, there is a slight chemical smell, but this is always the case with any new memory foam mattress - if the mattress left to inflate in a ventilated room, the smell disappears quickly without issue. This mattress is so firm and comfortable, offering a lot of support in all the places that support is needed, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The mattress is also noticeably much deeper that lesser counterparts, and the extra support from those extra inches of foam is certainly worth paying a little more for in my opinion - you can feel the difference, and it is surprising just how much the mattress actually inflates. If you are thinking of buying a memory foam mattress for the first time, or are looking to upgrade to a thicker mattress, then I can't recommend the Hypnia brand enough! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SLEEP TIGHT MEMORY FOAM 26 10 12 *by C***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2012* Having previously bought a memory foam mattress kingsize about 2 years ago.
