Our hard wearing, low odour Epoxy floor paint is easy to apply using a brush, roller or spray. It is trusted by professionals and used in a range of commercial and domestic applications Ease of Use: Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from all dust and loose flaking materials and all oil and grease must be removed. Hard, smooth chemically treated floors must be etched or mechanically abraded prior to application to ensure a sound key. New concrete must be fully through-dry (i.e. allow 1 month per inch of concrete laid). A two part product–empty the entire contents of Pack B into Pack A and mix together thoroughly until a uniform colour is obtained without streaks. Mix by hand or by use of a slow speed drill or paddle. The second coat should be applied as soon as the first is touch dry. It is important to apply the second coat within this time frame to ensure a good chemical bond between coats. Slip resistance can be obtained by adding a fine or medium grade ant-slip aggregate, scattered over the first wet coat. Allow to dry, brush away loose particles then apply second coat of paint. Common Uses: As a high durability coating for all floor areas such as warehouses, workshops, garages, showrooms etc. Solvent free making ideal for use in hospitals, kitchens and areas of food preparation. Oil and grease resistant therefore ideal for garage floors etc. Chemical resistant therefore ideal in areas of food manufacture and storage. i.e. Dairies, Grain Silos, Breweries, Abattoirs & Fisheries. Contact the Technical Department of the manufacturer prior to purchase this or any other product. **Q: Could you use this to paint a vinyl / Altro non slip floor in a wet room?** A: I cannot anser this question. Please consult the product manufacturer technical department for advice prior to purchasing any any product. **Q: Will half of the mixed paint be fine to leave until the second coat** A: I would recommend at least 3 days, especially if you are applying the Epoxy Resin in a damp environment. We dug out our cellar and filled it with cement (including a plastic damp-proof course. Waited for 8 days for it to fully dry (the weather was very good in May!) and then applied the first coat, with the second applied 3 days later. I hope thi8s helps and good luck! **Q: Could this be used on floor tiles?** A: I cannot answer that question as I used this product on a 'dug out' basement which then had liquid cement poured in after first placing a membraine and pebbles. For that purpose it was superb. The Technical Department for this company is superb and I consulted them first before buying the product. We probably spent some 6-8 minutes on the phone. I would suggest that you do the same before buying any product.
