The nice thing about the bar spring is you can bend it out or if you wish . When I’m not carrying it I leave it open to keep tension off the spring.the case for it it’s too big this knife is approximately the size of a buck 112 the case is approximately the size of One for a buck 110. I’d buy it again, gotta say I would prefer a coil spring one though. I do have a new Buck auto an an old conversion one .
