There is a specific CABIN AIR FILTER cleaning kit that K&N has (KN Part Number 99-6000 "K&N CABIN FILTER CLEANING CARE KIT" (at the time of this writing it is not available on amazon but is available at other local auto parts stores (for many))) DO NOT USE ENGINE AIR FILTER CLEANING KITS ON THIS FILTER these ENGINE air filter cleaning kits use oil and will make your car smell like that oil if you use it on your cabin air filter!!!
