It was easy to fashion a mount with a 4x4 post and a short span of a 2x4 as the cross arm, finished off with 3 carriage bolts that secured the light onto the cross arm. We didn’t want to drill holes in our carport, so we cable-tied the post to one of the carport legs. I added an inexpensive dusk-to-dawn timer that I picked up in the Christmas section of a box store, and ran an outdoor heavy duty extension cord around the carport and to an outlet on the exterior of our home about 50 feet away. I tried to post enough pictures that you can see the before and after, as well as how well it works through dusk and into the dark of the night. The last video shows how it seems to be putting off some steam in the freezing rain outside currently. If I bought for this particular area again, it would be something a bit smaller, but this would be PERFECT for a backyard or parking lot. We are very pleased. Seems to curtail some of the shenanigans. For the moment at least. And it is only the 150-watt version. I was able to C-clamp it to a board and place it on a chair by a window instead of a permanent install.
