Review: Good solid evaporative cooler - Works very well but it is very close in price to a Hessaire 5300, which i find out performes it. The thicker pads of the Hessaire brand produce a cooler breeze even in hotter weather. I purchased this type for the unique system of delivering water to the pads and the ability to add ice. I like this system, but when it is hot, cooling performance counts. If this cooler is on sale, buy it, otherwise the Hessaire 5300 is a better unit.
Review: Didn’t last. Fan failed and unit leaked. - Didn’t last. Bought this last year and only used it a few times in the summer. The fan already failed. Also almost every fitting was supplied with the cheapest orings so the hose attachment always leaked. The float for the auto shut off didn’t work.
