On two so far, the handle became detached at the join with the main body.We actually prefer the resulting mug (so long as the handle doesn't detach while you are holding it), as we had previously held the mug by the silicone band rather than the handle.The glass is reasonably thick - we've never broken one by knocking against anything, though one did develop a crack in the inside wall.This seems to be the answer to most of the shortcomings of other double walled glass cups. It is more sturdy, dishwasher safe, and without its lid, can be microwaved.And in addition, the lid is absolutely leak-proof. You can slip it into your bag (even more easily if the handle has fallen off!), and it is quite safe.**************UPDATED**************I have purchased half a dozen of these.
