I just notice the fan is not working. Is there a switch** A: There is a thermostatically controlled switch inside of the box. All you have to do is plug it in and build a fire, once the temperature gets high enough it should kick on automatically. If you start noticing a rattling sound after a while, there is an allen screw that holds the blade on the shaft of the motor. You can remove the side panel and tighten it up. I had to do that to mine. **Q: Will this work if i install it 8-12' foot above the stove? Have a bedroom my stove pipe goes through befoe going to the roof.** A: 6 feet **Q: will this unit work on a gas 6 inch furnace exhaust?** A: I do not know, I would not use it if it were me. Please call manufacturer to get your answer. **Q: Do you think it will work on a oil drip furnace by nestor martin?** A: As long as the pipe size is the same on the oil stove and it burns clean, I believe it would be fine to use.
