This is a few dollars cheaper. I like my Bialetti, but am interested in getting a 3 cup size** A: Most stove top coffee makers that look like this one pretty much make the same kind of espresso! Tasty but not Starbucks quality even if you use Starbucks espresso coffee! Coffee shop machines push water through the coffee anywhere from 15-19 bars of pressure, that’s how it produces that “crema”! Unfortunately Bialetti (last I heard) is made in China, and the quality isn’t the same! There is always higher end bialetti but those are supposed to be stainless steel at a higher price! I have all sizes of the stovetop coffee makers.. from the 2 cup to the 14 cup! My experience is the stainless steel stovetop coffee makers are the best because they’re better made! These are good too, I have a few of these & love them as well! **Q: Is the handle made of wood?** A: Hi, The handle is actually made out of a soft touch rubber coated heat resistant plastic. **Q: Is it stailess steel?** A: There is a version of it that is now available in Stainless Steel, its called the Milano Steel. **Q: where is it made** A: I think everything is made in China except for the valve that is made in Italy. It was possible to mostly scrape off with my fingernail, but it left a bit of an odd patch that seemed like it might be some remaining piece of whatever this epoxy-or-whatever is.
