They feel like crisp cotton cloth, not soft or stretchy. The waistband is soft rubber and is comfortable against the skin. I have not worn them very much yet, so can't give an in-depth review of durability. The length is not too long nor too short. Waist fit wise: I usually wear a 33-34 waist in underwear and also pants, and I ordered a size "M". They fit perfectly.UPdate 9.24.2018: one of the 4 boxers has begun to "shrivel" after washing/drying. The legs shrink up (see attached photo). This isn't due to being crunched up in the dryer - the other 3 pairs are fine. It's something to do with the material. For this reason I am trying to contact the seller. There is no easy way to contact them via the orders page or the product detail page, so I'm having to go through Amazon customer support. I'd not feel good recommending this product as long as this issue persists.UPdate 10.1.2018: I was able to reach the seller and told them about the shrivel problem. They said it was the first they've heard of it. They volunteered to send me 4 replacement boxers, which I thought was really nice of them. I received the boxers today and will put them through the wash to see if the problem reoccurs. If it does, I'll note it here. These are very nice boxers, well made and 100 percent cotton; but they are way too small. I have a 35/36 waist and with size large I can’t even pull them up. I doubt size XL or XXL would fit. This is too bad since they are great quality.
