Review: I bought this SX Trade Strength mortar repair to do some repointing work around my brick house. Application was easy and the mortar itself feels good quality once applied. It sets well and is ideal for small repair jobs where you don’t want to mix up a full batch of mortar. The main thing to be aware of is the colour. It’s quite a light grey, and in my case it didn’t match the existing mortar on my house. The repair stands out more than I’d like, and I’ll need to find a darker option in the future to blend it in better. Overall, the quality of the product itself emphasizes reliability, but matching the existing mortar colour is essential for cosmetic repairs. Good for structural or functional fixes, but be careful if appearance matters.

I bought two tubes, it was easy to use although it was a little hard to squeeze out at first. Before starting you need to ensure any loose material is cleared out of the gaps to be filled otherwise the filler can fall out. The colour is a light grey which blended well with my cement which is around 30yrs old, I’m happy with the results. Like the Bruce Willis film it Dries Hard. I know!
