Second, actually mount them, don't use the adhesive tape. I've dropped these things a few times (I mounted my first few a little too high, and I'm short) and they're survived my accidental abuse. Sure, the batteries pop out, but I just put them back in and remount the ball. I've had no problems with the battery life, but I'm only using them for a few hours at a time if the power goes out. We typically stay in a main room with oil lamps and candles, and use these nifty little lights to go from room to room, like down the hall and to the bathroom. Can't leave candles unattended because of 3 jerk cats so these are great to get around or add extra light while looking for something.
