As a tax accountant, I have a lot to shred. And with all those social security numbers and other confidential information, I have to concern myself with the size of the shreddings. I got the P-5 and it's great! The speed is good and even with only an 8 sheet capacity, I'm amazed at how quickly I can go through a pile of papers. It also has not shut down on me yet. I can shred for a long time without it overheating. The cheaper shredders shut down so often it drives me crazy. It is such a waste of time. This one is well worth the price. I compared with a similar product offered locally and the local one was $400-500 more. One thing though, it does require frequent oiling, so you might want to order some extra oil, or oil sheets.(This is a replacement for my first one that came damaged. The case was dented and cracked, but, by the look of the box, it appeared to have happened during shipment. Since it weighed 50 lbs, I couldn't easily drop it off at the UPS store. I scheduled a UPS pickup which, after some scheduling problems, eventually worked out. My new one was delivered the same day.
