TRA designed the body mounting system to move forward instead of rearward. Because it moves forward by well over 1" (25mm), it severely limits bumper design. However, RPM engineers found a way to incorporate a fully functioning bumper with the TRA body mounting system. How did they do it? First, RPM eliminated the stock bumper and replaced it with a hinge pin retainer, since realistically, that's all the stock bumper really is. Next, they eliminated the stock skid plate in favor of a wider, longer and more protective skid. Lastly, they bolted a unique bumper to the front of the skid plate.
