I am hoping the cloth will handle dampness better from drink condensation. Will switch them out to dry. I was intending to get wood but that is less absorbent so I feared when you lift a glass with a lot of condensation water could drop on my table. This cloth is perfect and the foam back keeps it from absorbing straight through to table beneath.
