The bands are not tight on your legs. One time I had to cut the elastic bands off the pant band was too tight. Material is very soft, this set is more of pajamas than leisure wear. I say that because I have about 5 sets that I got in the spring that look identical, they also have the jogger band with stripes but those are a little thicker. They held up well in washing. No fading of colors. I’m going to use these for pajamas and continue using the thicker ones for leisure wear during the day or if I need warmer pjs at night.
