These do not have the nice β€œtabs and holes” to solder onto. They have one, but the other two soldering points are exceedingly small and difficult for the amateur to get right. I destroyed two jacks trying to take them apart further to make the job easier, lol. The third I overheated the contact points and got a blob of solder connecting the ring and sleeve points. Finally, I tinned the little wires and succeeded by be very, very careful. Whew! This was on a Sony V600, btw.Finally, and particular to my model headphones, the opening for the cable is a bit large for my need. It has a gap. I tried to build the cable up with heatshrink.
