The closest and most comfortable size available is the 42 X 28 because of the stretch quality. I do have to alter the length 1 inch. What I like the most is how comfortable they are due to the stretch quality and that the thigh dimensions are not too baggy. What I don't like is that they are designed to rest on your hips, and therefore, I'm usually pulling them up and having to cinch my belt tighter. Despite these misgivings , Grand River is the only brand of jeans I wear. They were unavailable, so Iordered style 180 1 size larger than usual. They came labeled correctly , but 4 inches smallin waist and 3 inches long in waist. The over all fit was bad. I have worn the 180 M S for15 years or more with no problems.
