This was my second purchase of it, so you know I liked it the first time! It is the right consistency for my somewhat coarse, medium length beard. It's not so oily that it provides too little hold and not so waxy so that it is too difficult to melt and apply to my beard. I am not a guy who wears a lot of scents, and I find that most beard oils and balms are very scent heavy, but not Yggdrasil. It has a light, bright scent. I would still probably prefer unscented, but if I have to have a scent, this is a good choice. It is slightly more expensive than the other brands I had tried, but after using it, I am definitely willing to shill out a few extra dollars because a good product is a good product.And for the problems I had:Now, I ordered this in the late spring, and we had an unusually hot week and as such about half of the balm had melted and dripped out of the container into the box. I typically try to contact the seller if there are any problems and Mad Viking did not disappoint. They responded within a couple of hours with a promise to send a replacement. Just make sure to finish with wet hands over the beard calm those hairs sticking out. After a few uses i did end up breaking out.
