I use shea butter A LOT! I make my own beauty products (face cream, green healing cream, magnesium cream, etc.) and I use shea butter in all of them. This product was very creamy and easily melts. It is true, unrefined shea butter...the smell is natural, and there may be small bits of "shell" every now and then because it is UNREFINED! You get all the benefits of shea butter when it is not refined and no chemicals are used if it is unrefined. It is easy to remove any impurities after it is melted...just pour it through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and they will easily sift out. I ordered 5 lbs and it was only wrapped in plastic film, but I keep it in the original bag and cut off what I need with a knife, rewrap it, and store it in a cool, dark drawer. This is a wonderful product at a really reasonable price and it arrived in a timely manner. I am very pleased with this product and I will order 10 lbs. next time...
