I was able to put the ink into the drums. Then I put the drums back into the my Brother HL-3170CDW. That is when the problems started. The instructions on how to reset the printer were not accurate. It took days to fiddle with it to get the printer to PRINT again. First, there were globs of color ink coming out on the pages or landing underneath the cartridges. I fiddled with the green contraption that slides from side to side on the drum which I was instructed to do (by the printer a dozen times). Finally, I found a zig zag pattern for each cartridge that stopped the ink bleeds. But, the color ink (which is still full) does not come out on the paper. Only black and white ink comes out properly. The colors are completely faded out and print with very distorted images and words. This has just not worked properly at all. I am really considering junking this printer. It's too expensive to maintain. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Drums work still kicking error *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2018* I gave it a 3/5 because the drums are working fine, the machine is still showing error to replace drums even though they are working. Possibly because printer is set up to only recognize brother specific drums. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be as good as a new one *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2018* I was having some trouble with an incomplete image on my printouts, and my page count was approaching the maximum for the drum units. I swapped one of the drum units, and the new one was just as good as the previous one. It didn't solve my problem, but it fit and worked.
