Are they "ankle socks" (around the Achilles tendon) or do they come up the calf (more like tennis socks)?** A: They cover the tendon but not as long as a tenis sock. They are very compressive around the toes and can feel very tight. I am a size 10 foot and bought the large size. **Q: Why aren’t there any shoe sizes on here** A: Interesting question... I took a chance on Large and they fit my 8.5 size feet very well. Great socks by the way, my default running socks. **Q: I'm a aize 13 will the xl fit?** A: I'm size 10 and Size L fits me. So XL for 13 should be fine in my opinion. **Q: Size 8 male. Cheaper than x-socks which I've had in the past, but which gave me blisters on the end of the toe to the left of my big toe on both feet. So I decided to try these.They fit perfectly (I am a 9.5 and I got a large) and none of the blistering problems I've had with x-socks. Very cushioned, and no feet swelling issues after long runs wearing these so far. Longest I have done in them so far is 34k and at the end my feet were fine (better than the rest of me, anyway!!). I have only used them twice so I am uncertain about their longevity but I marvel at their compression without being... restrictive. They just fit well. Its like they have cleverly woven herringbone cross patters into the various weaves, increasing the strength.
