I'm still working on the one on the front cover -- otherwise known as figuring out whether these really ARE the 125 best brain teasers of all time. I started by trying to establish when time began, and whether "all time" means all currently known time, or whether I should assume the title also includes theoretical time. After several months of deep study on that topic, I found myself questioning "what even is time?". That is proving to be a devilishly tricky question. I'm a year and a half into it so far and there is no end in sight. In the event that I come to the conclusion that time is straightforward and linear, I intend to conduct a thorough study of the most admired brain teasers for each major epoch (just in human history for now -- but I'm open to exploring those of other species, and possibly even alien lifeforms), before establishing a set of objective criteria for what constitutes a "best" brain teaser. I will then do a comparative analysis of the 125 brain teasers in this book against those from throughout the ages, in order to make a final judgement on the veracity of this book's title.
