Those 3 LEDs are very appropriate for the amount of light you would want in the night. Also, it gives a very dreamy light. the center light also keeps on changing the color over a smooth transition.However, I almost returned it since when plugged in after receiving, it did not seem to work. Then I realized that it has a light sensor (at the bottom) that only turns the LEDs ON when it is a bit dark - this was awesome since it fits my requirement.
