I mounted it on a vinyl fence post and used a piece of wood for a backing for the screws. Camera is very sensitive. I have some fountain grass that was near the camera and had to move it to a different location. Every time the wind moved the grass the camera came on and sent me a notice. I did try changing the movement setting to low, but it still set it off.I have a 5 ghz router, so to program the camera I had to call my internet and phone provider (Spectrum). They changed my phone temporarily to 2.4 ghz to allow me to program the camera to my wi-fi system. It works flawlessly.They want you to buy a subscription for more features when you download the app. I just want to watch the neighborhood birds so I wasn’t interested. The basic app has a lot of features to control the camera and sends you a text when there’s activity.
