PM 2.5 goes down from 150 in winter in Bangalore to less than 25 with my Phillips purifier. You have to ensure room is properly closed and no other exhaust fan is running (e.g. in attached bathroom) for maximum effect. Lasts for 6 months or so in Bangalore air.
