Just follow the directions when applying the product. I made sure I cleaned the grill really well with rubbing alcohol before I applied the product. Start off with a light coat first and wait about 5 minutes. Then a light second coat and so on. Make sure you wait about 5-10 minutes before you apply the next coat. It blends in together really well. I did about 5 coats or more. Will see how long it lasts and how tough it is. Follow the directions on the can but (THE CAN IS MISSING ONE VERY IMPORTANT DIRECTION.) You need to go to the Rust-Oleum website and read the Product Overview statement.The missing instruction that you need to follow is -- Begin removing tape and other masking immediately after the last coat has been applied to keep clean edges. If you wait too long, the coating may adhere too much to the tape.This information was not on the can so when I started to remove the masking tape some of the coating started to peel off with the tape. Repairing the damage was easy and the Rust-Oleum Peel Coat is a great product. It looks good, was easy to apply, and it would have been nice if they had put all the instructions on the can. Just make sure that you properly prep the surface. the only reason for 4 stars is that if you apply it a little on the heavy side it can tend to lift showing small cracks. So take your time.
