## Features

- 108 Keys Upgraded Wireless Keyboard: The V6 Max is a QMK custom mechanical keyboard with 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connection. It has a full-size 100% layout, gasket design, sound-absorbing foam, double-shot PBT keycaps, and more that are designed for enhanced typing comfort.
- 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth Connection: The 2.4 GHz wireless and wired connection boasts a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. You can also connect the V6 Max with up to 3 devices via a stable Bluetooth 5.1 for seamless multitasking on both Mac and Windows.
- Remap with Keychron web app: Simply connect the V6 Max to your device with a cable, open the Keychron Launcher web app, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key on any system (macOS, Windows, or Linux) for a fluid workflow. Or create your keymap with open-sourced QMK firmware.
- Hot-swap Any Switch You Want: You can also hot-swap any pre-lubed tactile brown switch on the V6 Max with almost all of the 3pin and 5pin MX mechanical switches on the market without soldering required. The PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizer for “big keys” such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete are designed for less wobbliness and smooth performance.
- PBT Keycaps & South-facing Backlit: Our unique OSA profile double-shot non-backlight shine through PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out. You can also adjust the hue, saturation, brightness, effect speed, and different modes on the south-facing RGB with combination keys.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keychron V6 Max Wireless
*by B***. on 30 March 2026*

As someone who spends a lot of time typing for work and personal projects, I've always been on the lookout for the perfect keyboard that balances performance, aesthetics, and comfort. After testing out a number of options, the Keychron V6 Max Wireless Custom Mechanical Keyboard has truly impressed me. Here’s my in-depth take on why it stands out: Build Quality and Design The V6 Max has a premium, solid feel right out of the box. The aluminum frame gives it a sturdy weight, making it feel durable without being too heavy. I went for the Gateron switches, and the keycaps are made of high-quality ABS plastic that feels smooth to the touch, but not too slippery. The compact 65% layout saves desk space without sacrificing the crucial arrow keys, which is a big plus for me. What stands out to me most, however, is the RGB lighting. The colors are vibrant and customizable to fit any mood or aesthetic. The underglow on the keyboard is a nice touch, and the effects are smooth. I’ve enjoyed playing around with the various preset modes, but the ability to customize my own lighting patterns is really fun, especially for late-night coding sessions. Typing Experience I’ve used a variety of mechanical keyboards over the years, and I’ve never quite experienced anything like the Keychron V6 Max. The Gateron Brown switches are smooth with just the right amount of tactile feedback without being too loud. Typing feels satisfying and responsive, and I find myself getting into a nice rhythm much faster than I did on my previous keyboard. If you’re used to quieter keys, this might not be the perfect switch for you, but the sound is crisp without being overly clacky or distracting. The stabilizers on the larger keys (like the spacebar and enter) are well-tuned, so there’s no wobble or rattling—something I really appreciate since I do a lot of typing. Wireless and Connectivity The V6 Max supports both Bluetooth and wired connections. I’ve mainly used it wirelessly, and the Bluetooth connection has been rock solid. Pairing with my laptop was super easy, and I didn’t experience any dropouts or lag during my daily use, whether typing emails or gaming. The keyboard can connect to up to 3 devices, and switching between them is as simple as pressing a button, which is fantastic if you work across multiple devices (I regularly switch between my laptop, PC, and tablet). The battery life is impressive too. I’ve been using it wirelessly for over a week before needing to recharge, and that’s with moderate to heavy usage. For someone like me who is always on the go, this is a huge win. Customization Options As a custom mechanical keyboard enthusiast, one of my favorite things about the V6 Max is the high level of customization it offers. You can easily swap out the keycaps for your preferred set (it’s compatible with most standard Cherry MX keycap sets), and you can even replace the switches if you want a different feel. This gives the keyboard a truly personal touch and allows me to adapt it to my specific typing style. Additionally, the hot-swappable switch feature makes it a breeze to experiment with different switches without the need for soldering. I’ve swapped between Gateron Reds, Browns, and even some linear switches just to see how each one feels, and it’s incredibly easy to do. Ergonomics While not a full ergonomic keyboard, the V6 Max’s compact design and adjustable feet give me a good typing angle, and the keys are well-spaced. The only thing I’d recommend is getting a separate wrist rest if you type for long hours, as this doesn’t come with one. But that's a minor thing, and I find that a wrist rest actually improves my comfort even more. Price vs. Performance Given its customizability, wireless options, and premium build quality, the Keychron V6 Max is reasonably priced. You’re getting a high-quality mechanical keyboard with premium features without paying the absurd prices some other custom keyboards ask for. For anyone who’s considering jumping into the world of mechanical keyboards or upgrading their setup, the V6 Max is a fantastic value. Final Thoughts Overall, I’m incredibly satisfied with the Keychron V6 Max. It delivers a perfect balance of aesthetics, performance, and customizability. Whether you’re typing for work, gaming, or just enjoying a typing experience that feels satisfying, this keyboard does it all. If you're looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard with a premium build that doesn’t break the bank, the Keychron V6 Max is definitely worth considering.
