Needed an upgrade from my unhooking mat for a while and been shopping around looking at various models. Firstly this is plenty big enough for a 40lb carp, or big pike and the shape would stop the fish sliding off like it could on a mat. It comes in a nice sturdy case folded in half. I have other ngt luggage and the case is the same sturdy green material. It consists of a pop up part which folds into a circle and has plastic coated metal wire frame, and a nice thick pad with a sturdy rubberised coating. The frame has a mesh panel underneath where the mat sits to allow water through. Assembly is very simple, let the frame pop up and lay the mat in it ! This even comes with a couple of sturdy bivvy pegs which you do need otherwise a gust of wind will dump the whole thing in the lake. The pegs fit into a small pocket in the bag. Overall I'm really pleased with it as I was looking at a couple of similar products from fox rage and trakker and tbh I couldn't see why the bigger brands were more expensive.
